Before the parliamentary elections, six parties in Armenia had signed a joint statement addressed to the National Security Service in which they requested access to the border electronic management information system.

These parties were the Republican Party of Armenia (HHK), Prosperous Armenia Party (BHK), Armenian Revolutionary Federation-Dashnaktsutyun, Armenian Democratic Party (HDK), Communist Party (HKK) and Rule of Law (OEK).

Davit Harutyunyan, Chairman of the National Assembly's Standing Committee on State and Legal Affairs, says nobody took advantage of the opportunity though training was organized for the representatives of the aforesaid parties.
When asked to name the reasons, Davit Harutyunyan said, "I think there was no need for it."
