Gagik Tsarukyan keeps silent, listens to opinions
I would not like to see Prosperous Armenia Party (BHK) to enter into an unreal coalition, BHK member Vartan Oskanian said after the sitting of the Inter-Party Headquarters for Public Oversight of the Elections.
The ex-foreign minister says he disapproves of the political monopoly, but if the Republican Party of Armenia (HHK) believes it has attained political majority, it can fully shoulder the responsibility of political management.
Mr Oskanian left it to journalists to conclude whether he would withdraw from the BHK or not, or whether he would waive the parliamentary mandate or not.
"I am not going to tell you everything. I want you to draw corresponding conclusions," he said.
The BHK representative says his party has not yet received a proposal to form a coalition with other parties. He does not know the opposition of his teammates about the alleged coalition.
Vartan Oskanian is aware that the opposition Armenian National Congress (HAK) is going to dispute the results of the May 6 parliamentary elections in the Constitutional Court.
Asked whether the three forces involved in the Inter-Party Headquarters - BHK, HAK and Armenian Revolutionary Federation-Dashnaktsutyu - are likely to pressurize the CC through street protests, Mr Oskanyan said, "We have not discussed the issue yet."
The ex-FM did not say anything about BHK Leader Gagik Tsarukyan's decision on forming a coalition with parliament forces; BHK leader is still listening to opinions.
