Candidate: “Poor deceased”
The Armenian National Congress (HAK) isn't coming to parliament to have a faction, but "to relieve the country of Serzh Sargsyan as soon as possible", said HAK representative Gagik Jhangiryan during a meeting in Ijevan today.
He expressed regret that the opposition wasn't able to hold snap presidential elections and said that was why the opposition was participating in the parliamentary elections.
In his speech, Jhangiryan expressed doubt over judicial reforms. He particularly recalled the fact that the ten murders of March 1 remain unrevealed. "What kind of a court system is that? It can't reveal crimes that took place in front of thousands of people."
Gagik Jhangiryan has his explanation. "It means that the authorities and their subjects committed the murders," said Jhangiryan.
"I was ensured with a position. All the officials dreamed of seeing me in your province, starting from the head of your province," said the ex-Deputy Prosecutor General.
In his speech, he also recalled the thousands of citizens voluntarily leaving for Siberia, the women trading in Dubai, who send money to their husbands living in Armenia.
Election candidate running through the majoritarian electoral order at precinct N 41 in Tavush province Spartak Harutyunyan also gave a speech.
"The poor deceased-there won't be anyone to burn incense for them," said Harutyunyan, referring to the large number of emigrants from the bordering villages.
During a meeting in Berd, HAK leader Levon Ter-Petrosyan compared the perpetrators of the Great Genocide of 1915 with those encouraging emigration today and said he didn't see any difference.
In Ijevan, the HAK leader declared that these authorities didn't have the right to speak about the international recognition of the Armenian Genocide since they were perpetrating genocide in their own country.
He also explained why he thought the Republican Party of Armenia (HHK) couldn't speak out. If it did, it wouldn't accept everyone as Republicans and wouldn't humiliate the Land Defenders' Union.
Levon Ter-Petrosyan also announced that these elections would be the last chance to make a change and called on everyone to vote for the HAK. Nikol Pashinyan, who is from Ijevan, announced that the citizens of Ijevan had to vote for the HAK.
