U.S. following up on Armenia
U.S. Ambassador to Armenia John Heffern says the U.S. is working with pro-government and oppositional parties to make sure the May 6 parliamentary elections are fair and transparent.
"I think it is very important to hold fair and transparent elections. The U.S. government has the goal of seeing such elections in Armenia," John Heffern told "A1+", adding that the U.S. would be following up on the elections.
According to Heffern, Armenia missed out on an opportunity by not sending its delegation to the Eurovision 2012 Song Contest in Baku.
