Europeans presented with electoral fraud

Chairman of the board of the Armenian Pan-National Movement (HHSh) Aram Manukyan on February 23 met Deputy of the European Parliament, Member of the Liberal Party's faction Kristian Silvio Byuso and Advisor for Political Affairs of the Alliance of Liberal Democrats of the European Parliament Antonios Nestoras.

The interlocutors discussed issues related to the annual session of the Council of the European Liberal-Democratic Party to be held in Yerevan on May 11. During the meeting, the sides discussed the interior political developments in Armenia, including the February 12 elections for mayor in Hrazdan. In this context, Aram Manukyan informed the European guests about the electoral fraud that was widespread during the elections.

Talking about regional issues, Aram Manukyan mentioned that the international community's attention is centered on the Armenian-Turkish relations and the Nagorno-Karabakh conflict.

"However, the only way of solving these issues is to have a democratic and legitimate government in Armenia because only a legitimate government is capable of solving such issues," mentioned the HHSh board chairman.

The interlocutors particularly discussed the upcoming elections in Armenia. The Chairman of the HHSh board called on the delegates of the European Parliament to send many observers to Armenia to oversee the elections in Armenia at their best.

During the meeting, an agreement was reached on the exchange of information with the Alliance of Liberal-Democrats of Europe and implement joint programs. Among other participants of the meeting were Executive Secretary of the HHSh board Vahagn Hayotsyan, HHSh board member Levik Khachatryan and HHSh EU member Samvel Teymurazyan, reports the HHSh news center.
