Another bill was boycotted at the National Assembly today. Yesterday deputies of the Prosperous Armenia Party didn't participate in the vote on the bill "On Restrictions on Cash Functions". Today, "Heritage" followed that example and boycotted the vote on the legislative package "On making amendments to the law "On Community Service" presented by Republican David Harutyunyan. The package wasn't approved.

"It is clear that the bill would lead to cases of the use of administrative resources. That is why we voted against the bill and expressed our view before the vote as well," "Heritage" MP Armen Martirosyan told "A1+".

Whereas Chairman of the National Assembly Samvel Nikoyan decided to pass the bill that the PAP boycotted through another vote, today he stayed neutral.

"The reality in the parliament is that if one of the political parties boycotts the vote, then the bill won't pass," said Martirosyan.

He also said he was against the amendments envisaged in the "Land" Code, which is being discussed by a second reading.

"Armenia is constantly trying to free itself of lands and doesn't want to accept the truth that residents are always clung to their lands. Land is particularly of vital significance for villagers," says the "Heritage" MP.

The parliamentary majority and the NA Standing Committee on Territorial Administration and Local Self-Government are inclined to pass these amendments and have already given their consent.
