Free Democrats likely to ally with Heritage
Chairman of the Free Democrats party Khachatur Kokobelyan says he is not as naïve as to think that the authorities will not try to rig the elections.
"However, if the elections are fabricated, the party is not going to foment an insurrection. We must create a political situation where it is impossible," he said.
"It should have been done in 2008. As long as the Armenian National Congress controlled the situation, it was to have started negotiations with the authorities. In six months or in a year, its influence became weaker," said the leader of the Free Democrats.
In the upcoming elections the Free Democrats is likely to form an alliance with the Heritage party since, according to Mr. Kokobelyan, ‘there is public demand for it.'
Regarding the party's cooperation with the ANC, Khachatur Kokobelyan said he could not say anything definitely for he was not aware of their position.
"ANC is not a liberal force," said the former HHSh member.
