Mountain passes covered with glaze-clear ice
Interstate highways, roads and mountain passes are trafficable as of 08.30 a.m., February 6.
However, some sections of Selim Mountain Pass and the roads in Alaverdi, Dilijan and Goris are covered with glaze-clear ice. Snow removal activities are continuing on the roads, reports the Ministry of Emergency Situations.
due to road freezing at the Pasanauri-Larsi section of Georgia's Mtskheta-Stepantsminda-Lars Highway, which leads to the Armenian border, traffic is permitted solely for buses seating less than thirty passengers, two-passenger jeeps, and trucks with chained wheels.
Because of ground surface icing, on the Pasanauri-Lars section of Mtskheta-Stepantsminda-Lars roadway in Georgia the movement is permitted only for buses with 30 seats, vehicles with chains.
