The next couple of weeks will determine if the "Heritage" and "Free Democrats" parties will take part in the upcoming parliamentary elections through one list.

This is what member of the "Free Democrats" Party, former Minister of Foreign Affairs Alexander Arzumanyan announced during a press conference today.

"We are working with "Heritage" and I don't rule out participation in the parliamentary elections through one list. It will all be clear in two to three weeks," said Arzumanyan.

When asked about the likelihood of collaboration with his former partners from the Armenian National Congress, the former Minister of Foreign Affairs recalled the saying that "one doesn't cross the same river twice".

"Of course, I think it will be possible to collaborate to organize free and fair elections, but I don't think there will be the formation of an alliance ahead of the elections," said Arzumanyan.

He also doesn't see the likelihood of an alliance with the ARF-D since both parties have different ideologies.

In any case, Arzumanyan says the next parliament will be better than this one.

"There were only six seats for the opposition in the National Assembly in 2007, after which the ARF-D became the opposition. Now, the opposition is established and institutionalized. It includes the ANC, "Heritage", our party and the ARF-D. I think all parties have a real chance to be represented in parliament," said Arzumanyan.
