ANC representative disappoints guest
Europe will do everything possible to make sure the events of 1-2 March 2008 never happen again in Armenia. This is what the Vice-President of the European Liberal and Democratic Reforms Party said in Yerevan.
"We will see and hear the local monitors. You Armenians have suffered a lot, but I think you will be able to overcome all the difficulties through the struggle," said Vice-President of the European Liberal and Democratic Reforms Party Lucy van der Lan.
She was one of the participants of the international conference on "The Main Role of Political Pluralism and Multi-Party Democracy" held by the Armenian Pan-National Movement (HHSh) with support from Fridrich Nauman. Appreciating her support, former member of the Central Electoral Commission Felix Khachatryan disappointed the European guest and said: "Armenia's authorities don't come to terms with European organizations."
President of the HHSh administration Aram Manukyan attaches primary importance to the nation's support for holding fair and transparent elections.
According to him, the Armenian National Congress is capable of preventing the falsifications that the authorities have already started. Manukyan says one of the major ways of the struggle is to establish the 100 percent proportional electoral order.
