During a meeting organized at Civilitas Foundation, former Minister of Foreign Affairs, former member of the Armenian Pan-National Movement (HHSh), current member of the Free Democrats Party Alexander Arzumanyan today touched upon their relations with the ANC and the upcoming parliamentary elections.

According to him, the opposition's demand for the proportional electoral order is today's imperative, and the opposition will lose through the majoritarian order because the nicknamed oligarchs are the main ones nominated at 41 polling stations.

Will the Free Democrats Party and "Heritage" Party participate in the upcoming parliamentary elections through a unified alliance and a joint list? "It is a matter of tactics. The closer the elections get, the clearer things will be."

Currently, two political parties have already decided to fight against electoral bribes together, to have common monitors and proxies. Will those parties collaborate with the ANC?

"We will join the ANC, the ARF-D or whichever party in the case of violation of citizens' rights and falsified elections. If we find that our right has been violated, we will fight for the restoration of citizens' rights," said Alexander Arzumanyan.

Touching upon the reasons why he left the ANC, Alexander Arzumanyan mentioned that there were disagreements since the ANC leaders had changed their format.

Nevertheless, he assures that the Free Democrats will avoid criticizing any opposition political figure when taking their steps.

As far as the different kinds of rumors and criticism regarding the political party are concerned, Alexander Arzumanyan is certain that this shows that the others are afraid of their party.

"This goes to show that they view us as their number one opponent. They're not pointing the arrow toward the dictatorial regime that committed murders, but their supporters, those who have been their friends for the past 20 years."
