PACE co-rapporteur did not meet Levon Ter-Petrosyan

On January 16, Coordinator of the Armenian National Congress levon Zurabyan met with PACE co-rapporteur on Armenia John Prescott to discuss implementation of PACE Resolution 1837 by the Armenian authorities as well as political developments in the country.

Levon Zurabyan also gave a political assessment to the report of the Special Investigation Service on the March 2008 deadly clashes.

Later, Mr. Prescott met with Gagik Jhangiryan, Coordinator of the ANC Legal Advice Center. The latter spoke about the shortcomings of the SIS report, particularly referring to the inefficient investigation of cases.

Present at the meeting were ANC representatives Avetis Avagyan and Vladimir Karapetyan.
