Signing of cooperation plan
As part of the official visit to Belarus, Secretary of the National Security Council Artur Baghdasaryan today had a meeting with State Secretary of the Security Council of the Republic of Belarus Leonid Maltseyev. During the meeting, the sides discussed a broad range of issues related to cooperation in the sphere of security.
The narrow format meeting was followed by a wide format meeting with the participation of the delegations of the structures of both countries. During the meeting, the sides signed the 2012-2013 cooperation plan between the National Security Council of the Republic of Armenia and the State Secretariat of the Security Council of the Republic of Belarus.
Then, NSC Secretary Artur Baghdasaryan had a meeting with President of the Republic of Belarus Alexander Lukoshenko. Conveying the warm greetings of the RA President, the NSC Secretary expressed confidence that the delegation's visit would be more efficient for the strengthening of Armenian-Belarussian ties and the deepening of further cooperation in different spheres.
The sides expressed satisfaction with the current level of friendly ties and underlined that the relations would highly contribute to further promotion of the bilateral cooperation in the spheres related to security.
The President of Belarus expressed his satisfaction with Armenia's proposals made for further development of relations between both countries in different spheres and expressed willingness to discuss any proposal for cooperation with Armenia.
The Armenian delegates also had a meeting with the administration of the State Military Production Committee of the Republic of Belarus. During the meeting, issues related to the promotion of cooperation in military production, including the establishment of joint Armenian-Belarussian enterprises were discussed.
At the end, Artur Baghdasaryan received Director General of the Agroart Leasing Agency in Belarus Pavel Krupnov. During the meeting, the sides reached an agreement on the opening of a representation in Armenia in order to provide necessary equipment and technologies to Armenia.
