91st anniversary of Armenia’s KGB
On December 20, officials of the National Security Service under the RA Government celebrated their holiday. During a solemn ceremony held at the National Security Service on this occasion, RA Prime Minister read Serzh Sargsyan's address in which Sargsyan congratulated the servicemen of the National Security Service and conveyed the message to "continue overcoming all difficulties and meet the objectives of investigating, maintaining constitutional order, fighting against terrorism and maintaining the state border by responding to the current challenges."
In his speech at the solemn ceremony, Head of the National Security Service, general-colonel Hakobyan mentioned that the staff of the National Security Service was celebrating the day with outstanding achievements in the spheres of activity, including the revelation of citizens of Armenia who were gathered by the Azerbaijani investigation service as agents in Turkey.
Congratulating the servicemen, the Head of the NSS wished them health, vigor and success.
"Armenia's special services have been around for the past 91 years. During the three republics of Armenia, they have worked with unconditional dedication and with strive to register new achievements on the country's difficult road. Many years will go by, but I am certain that our next generations will continue to celebrate this day with the same pride, motivation and dignity, will stay true to our calls and will be able to keep our country and people away from potential dangers and threats."
Several employees were granted medals, precious gifts and certificates by the decree of the Head of the NSS, general-colonel Hakobyan, reports the press service of the NSS.
