Serzh Sargsyan content with Iran
Serzh Sargsyan today received Foreign Minister of the Islamic Republic of Iran Ali Akbar Salehi.
Greeting the guest, Sargsyan considered the reciprocal visits of high-ranking officials of the Armenian and Iranian Ministries of Foreign Affairs a good opportunity for discussing the full agenda of cooperation and the implementation of agreements reached with President Mahmud Ahmadinezhad and developing new programs.
"I am happy to register that Armenian-Iranian relations are at a high level today. The number of joint programs is increasing and there is more cultural exchange," Serzh Sargsyan said, expressing satisfaction with the development of cooperation in the economic sphere.
"We are certain that Iran, as a friendly country, will always be devoted to the development of bilateral relations," Iranian Foreign Minister Ali Akbar Salehi said.
Within the framework of Iranian President Mahmud Ahmadinezhad's upcoming visit to Armenia, the interlocutors touched upon programs for cooperation in energy, transportation, communication, tourism and several other spheres.
