Serzh Sargsyan, Vladimir Putin meet in Moscow
Within the framework of the sate visit to Russia, Serzh Sargsyan met with Russia's Prime Minister Vladimir Putin.
Noting that the meeting with Russia's Premier was a good opportunity to discuss the perspectives of Armenian-Russian relations, Serzh Sargsyan stated with satisfaction that the relations between the two countries are on a good level. The Armenian leader stressed that the dialogue between the two governments allows the sides to discuss a wide range of issues.
Serzh Sargsyan also referred to economic cooperation, saying that the commodity turnover between Armenia and Russia amounted to $1 billion, which is a serious figure for the Armenian side. He stressed that 57 percent of foreign investments in Armenia come from Russia.
Further on, he spoke about Armenian-Russian cooperation in the humanitarian sphere, underlining that great progress had been observed in that direction.
Sargsyan noted that during his visit to Russia arrangements were also reached on new quotas.
"Of course, we would like to discuss the possibilities of new projects that will further strengthen on relations," said Sargsyan.
For his turn, the head of the Russian government stressed that Armenian-Russian relations were successfully developing in a number of spheres and said he had had an opportunity to discuss the bilateral relations with his Armenian counterpart.
