BHK going to comment on HHK statements
The Republican Party of Armenia (HHK) is convening a sitting on Friday to discuss inner political situation in the country. As the HHK faction chairman Galust Sahakyan told A1+, the party will also discuss its relations with the Prosperous Armenia Party (BHK), which has been the main topic of discussions for the press and opposition in the week.
We usually meet our BHK partners in the National Assembly to discuss draft laws and political processes with them. I do not see any change in our relations that might bother the public," Sahakyan told A1+.
The HHK representative says some political forces simply ‘look for cracks inside the HHK.'
The BHK is a powerful party and the second in the coalition government. We have implemented a number of joint programs together. This is a mere attempt to make a sensation through the press," said Sahakyan.
According to press reports, Serzh Sargsyan has given BHK Leader Gagik Tsarukyan a week to decide on its participation during the presidential elections.
"Throughout its activity, the HHK has never spoken in the language of ultimatums," said the HHK official, at the same time rejecting the allegations about a new coalition memorandum to be signed between the coalition forces.
BHK MP Naira Zohrabyan said, in her part, that none of her party members would comment on the press reports.
"We shall only comment on official statements," she said.
