Leader of the Republican faction Galust Sahakyan did everything possible to avoid commenting on RA First President Levon Ter-Petrosyan's during a question and answer session held at the National Assembly today.

In his speech, the RA First President had touched upon Garegin Nzhdeh turning the transition of ideology into a religion and the authorities' actions.

"I haven't found better answers than the ones that I have given to this day and I don't think I ever will. They're holding meetings to curse us, but we've already said what we wanted to say," Galust Sahakyan assured and called on journalists not to go after the meetings.

"You know that I give good answers, but there are things that I can't touch upon," Galust Sahakyan said as he gave a conclusion of Levon Ter-Petrosyan's speech.

Unlike Sahakyan, ARF MP Artyusha Shahbazyan willingly spoke of the part of Levon Ter-Petrosyan's speech referring to the Dashnaktsutiun's activities and its history. "If Levon Ter-Petrosyan knew the Dashnaktsutiun's history well, he would have had a different attitude."

Artyusha Shahbazyan is certain that the events taking place at Freedom Square are all part of a pre-electoral campaign.

"Ter-Petrosyan is trying to leave the past behind. He is telling lies, assuming that the people who lived during his years in office have died, have left Armenia, have lost their memories or were so young that they don't remember anything," the ARF MP announced.

As far as Robert Kocharyan's possible return to politics is concerned, Artyusha Shahbazyan says the issue is a little exaggerated. "There is probably a lack of topics and that is why there is so much uproar. If he decides to return, that is his problem. There is nothing unusual in seeing a political figure that has played a great role in this country try to return."
