“Objective is to clean the “political trash”
Support A1+!Editor-in-chief of "Haykakan Zhamanak" daily newspaper Nikol Pashinyan began his speech at the rally by touching upon the statement made by leader of the Republican faction Galust Sahakyan.
What particularly frustrated him was that Sahakyan had said the government shouldn't let the ANC hold rallies.
"We know that these authorities can kill citizens, shut down media outlets and restrict freedom of speech, but they can't suspend these round-the-clock rallies. Our citizens are here to rebel against the illegal acts and tolerance," he said.
Continuing his speech, Pashinyan added that the people were leading this struggle because they love their children and want to see a country where their children can live freely.
"Whoever says he is tired of fighting is a bad parent. Those gathered here must fight without getting tired. Our action has led to a revolution. Citizens of Armenia are now cleaning up, and our objective is to clean the "political trash". Long live our children who will live in a free and independent Armenia," Nikol Pashinyan said.
