Defense Minister leaves for the frontline
In light of the anniversary of one of the border military units stationed in Noyemberyan, RA Minister of Defense Seyran Ohanyan today visited the military unit to personally congratulate the soldiers.
The soldiers greeted the minister with a parade, which was followed by Seyran Ohanyan's speech in which he mentioned the services of the military unit.
"This is one of the military units that has provided great service since the very first days after the war and continues to play a tremendous role in the protection of our borders to this day," the minister mentioned in his speech.
He also underlined that this military unit played a great role in preventing recent assaults from Azerbaijan. Ohanyan also spoke of the current flaws of the army, mentioning that the army doesn't conceal them and recently there are many talks about that since the army has chosen a policy to not hide anything from the society, if it isn't confidential.
"Military service, especially in this military unit, should be a great honor for every young Armenian man," Seyran Ohanyan mentioned.
The minister's speech will be followed by military drills.
