Minibus drivers can no longer submit to passengers' demands and stop at non-designated bus stops due to the latest novelty.

For a couple of days now, minibus numbers have been appearing in large figures. Many passengers thought that was for people with poor eyesight, but that is not the case at all. This is aimed at making road patrol officers' job easy.

There are already 60 cameras placed at different streets in Yerevan to regulate traffic, see the buses and punish drivers that violate the law. However, drivers are not too content with this.

According to them, this is not in favor of the drivers and is aimed at reducing the number of drivers in the city.

"We drive all day long in this heat and can't even make ends meet," the drivers complained.

They say if they stop at a non-designated bus stop, they will be fined 10,000 drams.

"There is no such thing in any civilized country. Everyone should first be provided with jobs, and then they should think about solving issues in a civilized manner," the drivers complained.

The department of information and public relations at Yerevan Municipality told "A1+" that the municipality has already placed 60 cameras, but the municipality has nothing to do with this because the police are going to follow up and punish drivers that violate the law.
