To hand signatures to Serzh Sargsyan
The "Hayazn" youth association organized a petition with the demand for granting citizenship to "Shushi" separate detachment commander Jirair Sefilyan in Yerevan.
Jirair Sefilyan, who came as a volunteer to Armenia from Lebanon in 1990, has been given all awards for his services, but the Armenian government refuses to grant him RA citizenship.
The organizer, that is, "Hayazn" youth association is "content with the results of the petition being held in Yerevan, the provinces and Artsakh."
This is the second petition following the first action held on June 15 with nearly 7,000 signatures.
Today starting from 10 a.m. the petition continued at the park near the Conservatory.
Action participant Lilit Petrosyan says the results are positive and they hope to collect at least 5,000 signatures by 20:00.
The final results will be summed up on July 10, which marks Jirairi Sefilyan's 44th birthday. The youth have a surprise in store for Jirair Sefilyan on that day.
