MoD: “No soldier was injured”
The Azerbaijani Defense Ministry's information that an Azerbaijani soldier was injured from a shot fired by the Armenian armed forces in Nakhijevan is not accurate, says RA Defense Ministry press secretary David Karapetyan.
According to him, the Armenian armed forces are strictly maintaining the ceasefire regime, and Azerbaijan is attempting to intensify the situation with ceasefire violations on a daily basis. For instance, Azerbaijan violated the regime 29 times on June 29 alone, including 5 times with sniper's arms.
"If there truly was a victim from the Azerbaijani side, either the soldier hurt himself or the murder was a result of intolerance between the soldiers. If Azerbaijan has another argument, it can appeal to an adequate international orgnaization to lead an investigation," says the RA MD representative.
