YouTube posts new video on March 1 bloody events
YouTube has posted another video revealing new details from the March 2008 post-electoral unrest in Yerevan.
The footage features the shooting of Grigor Gevorgyan, one of the ten victims of the March 1 deadly clashes. Gevorgyan, 28, was lethally wounded during the March 1 events at the intersection of Leo and Proshyan streets, on his way home. He was a resident of Yerevan's Kond district.
On the video, Gevorgyan's body is left on the ground for 30 minutes, with the police preventing the demonstrators from approaching the body. It also shows soldiers who are attempting to help the victim, hiding from the gunshots.
his body was found on March 2 at the Armenia Medical Centre. His wife was told that before his death Grigor had filmed the clashes on his mobile phone. The photos of burning cars were found in the phone.
Grigor Gevorgyan was the father of two underage children and the son of a Karavakh war victim.
