Looking for the main culprit

The RA Prosecutor General today convened a consultation.

According to a press release, the purpose of the consultation was to clarify the danger of poisoning from drinking water; the need for ensuring a full-fledged, objective and multifaceted examination of the criminal case that has been instigated; examining the case with all possible versions; revealing the motives and the contributing conditions, as well as the need for clarifying the circle of guilty persons and organizations.

Among participants were RA Deputy Prosecutor General A. Tamazyan; RA Deputy Chief of Police, Head of the RA Police Chief Investigative Department G. Hambardzumyan; the heads and prosecutors of the RA Prosecutor General's Office; the prosecutor for Erebuni and Nubarashen districts; Head of the Erebuni district investigative division of the Yerevan Investigative Department of the RA Police Chief Investigative Department H. Baghdasaryan; senior investigator of the same division B. Yeghiazaryan and others.

During the consultation, the participants presented the state of the preliminary inquiry on the case and mentioned that there had been numerous judicial procedures during the preliminary inquiry, including interrogations of the injured parties and eyewitnesses. The latter testified that they had used the fountains placed in the yards of buildings #3 and #16 due to the lack of water supply or water pressure.

Expert examinations were scheduled with samples of water taken from fountains and are currently underway.

The case investigation also showed that there were also injured children who hadn't drunk the water, but their parents had bathed them. There were also those who had seen a doctor and had left after the poisoning was denied.

The RA Prosecutor General assigned to take samples from all possible sectors of the location and send them to an expert examination.

In the end, it was decided to take all measures to identify those guilty for the poisoning case and give legal evaluations of their actions, as well as find out the contributing circumstances and take adequate measures prescribed by the law.
