Mayor invited to Riga
Mayor of Yerevan Karen Karapetyan discussed issues related to cooperation between Yerevan and Riga during his meeting with the Latvian delegates from Riga, reports the department of information and public relations of Yerevan Municipality.
Presenting Riga's municipal administration model and setting aside the directions that are viewed as primary from the political authorities' angle, the guests indicated the main spheres of partnership for Latvia. According to the delegates, Latvian businessmen are especially interested in possible investment programs in construction, the restoration of the housing fund, the decorative lighting of streets and buildings, tourism and other spheres.
The Latvian delegates transmitted the Riga mayor's official invitation to visit Riga.
The Latvian delegates also met with the staff employees of Kentron district where they signed an agreement on cooperation in education, culture, tourism, as well as the decorative lighting of streets and buildings of cultural significance and a number of other spheres.
