Kokobelyan is Serzh Sargsyan’s “project”
Shushi separate detachment commander, member of the "Sardarapat" Movement Zhirayr Sefilyan considers dialogue with the current authorities a waste of time.
He is certain that Levon Ter-Petrosyan and Serzh Sargsyan have had their mediators provide them with information frequently.
"There has actually been a breach in the agreement. To put it in simple terms, they let Ter-Petrosyan down. I am certain that they gave Ter-Petrosyan assurances. The last one was the assurance of delegations, but they breached that as well," Mr. Sefilyan told "A1+".
Zhirayr Sefilyan is not surprised that Serzh Sargsyan breached the agreement.
"We all know who we're dealing with. Those people have the typical mindset of criminals. Their only objective is to keep power. Engaging in dialogue with these authorities is a crime because that is more disappointing for the people."
He doesn't share the Armenian National Congress's (HAK) view that Serzh Sargsyan's hasn't replied. "Who is Karen Karapetyan? Isn't he Serzh Sargsyan's chief of staff? Who should speak on behalf of Serzh Sargsyan?"
Sefilyan says if things continue like this, only the leaders of HAK-member parties will stand by Levon Ter-Petrosyan's side in the 2012 parliamentary elections.
As for him, Sefilyan stressed that he was right to join the Pan-National Movement and will always be by the people's side.
"We will always be with the people coming out to the streets and demanding freedom from these authorities. Our people are always ready for a struggle. They showed that they were ready to fight on March 1, 2008, unlike phony political figures."
Sefilyan says he is certain that there won't be any structural reforms through the subsequent or snap elections. He is also certain that the authorities will soon create new political forces and sees former vice-chairman of the HHSh Khachik Kokobelyan's new force in that subtext. "Despite the fact that the new force includes people who are dear to me, that will not stop me from telling the truth that Kokobelyan is Serzh Sargsyan's "project". We will soon see the creation of ultra-West and ultra-Russian forces under the direction of Serzh Sargsyan."
Zhirayr Sefilyan also touched upon the Serzh Sargsyan-Ilham Aliyev meeting scheduled in Kazan.
"I don't have great expectations. The fact that the Nagorno-Karabakh conflict remains unsolved favors the great powers for pressuring Armenia and Azerbaijan. In the past months, we witnessed murders taking place almost every day. There are many talks on allocating peacekeeping forces, which is very dangarous and is not in Armenia's interests. I am certain that this plan will also be aborted."
Sefilyan has no doubt that the Nagorno-Karabakh conflict will be speculated in the upcoming inter-political processes.
