Armenian FM receives EU Chief Negotiator
Armenian Foreign Minister Edward Nalbandian received Gunnar Wigand, European Union's Chief Negotiator of the Association Agreement with Armenia, who arrived in Yerevan to participate in the 5th round talks on the Association Agreement.
The interlocutors touched upon issues on Armenia-EU agenda, hailing the high level of the political dialogue. They started that considerable progress has been registered ever since the talks started in July 2010.
The two officials discussed the works done in different formats of cooperation and outlined the future steps. They also exchanged views on the talks on the Association Agreement, facilitation of the visa regime and the process of creation of a free trade zone.
The same day, the 5th plenary session of the negotiations on the Association Agreement started at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs. It was followed by a working sitting chaired by Armenian Deputy Foreign Minister Karine Kazinian.
