If they have an "ounce of humanity", they must release everyone
Relatives of the political prisoners believe that they will no longer have to gather outside the Prosecutor's Office, calling for the release of their husbands and sons. They are hopeful that all the political prisoners will be freed before the opposition's next rally and will make a speech during the meeting.
"We simply have to wait another week to see everyone in freedom," said Mrs. Abelyan, a participant of today's action.
The protesters were encouraged by Serzh Sargsyan's proposal to grant amnesty, though they do not pin hopes on the President's words.
"The earlier our relatives are freed, the better for the authorities," said Rima Khachatryan.
The 73-year-old aunt of Nikol Pashinyan, the jailed editor of Haykakan Zhamanak daily, is determined to struggle untill the last political prisoner is released.
"If they have an "ounce of humanity", they will release everyone. The whole nation stands by the political prisoner," said Gretta Pashinyan.
