The hearing into the second suit of political prisoner Nikol Pashinyan against Kosh penitentiary took place in Artik penitentiary. Pashinyan demands that the Administrative Court overrule Sept. 28, 2010 decision of Kosh prison chief whereby he was subjected to disciplinary penalty.

As in the first case (held earlier today), journalists were prohibited from bringing photo and video cameras into the courtroom.

Pashinyan said it is six months he has been deprived of an opportunity to submit any documents to his attorney and motioned the court to involve the attorney in the process.

"I want my attorney to sit at the same table with me and have a tête-à-tête conversation with me," said Pashinyan.
Judge Robert Sargsyan upheld the motion and adjourned the sitting for an indefinite period.

Nikol Pashinyan, the editor-in-chief of Haykakan Zhamanak daily and a staunch backer HAK Leader Levon Ter-Petrosyan, was sentenced to seven years' imprisonment for organizing the "mass disturbances" that followed the disputed presidential elections in 2008 which left ten people killed in downtown Yerevan.
