Levon Ter-Petrosyan to visit his jailed teammates
Armenia's first President and Leader of the Armenian National Congress (HAK) Levon Ter-Petrosyan has applied to Justice Minister Hrayr Tovmasyan with a request to visit jailed opposition activists Sasun Mikaelyan and Nikol Pashinyan.
According to our sources, the Justice Minister has satisfied the application. Ter-Petrosyan will meet the political prisoners on May 4 and 5.
Mikaelyan and Pashinyan have been convicted in the March 1 case. They were accused of organizing March 1 riots and sentenced to 8 and 7 years in prison respectively.
