Strict instruction?
There have not been any microbuses coming from Gyumri to Yerevan since this morning.
As head of the Armenian National Congress Gyumri territorial organization Ashot Zakaryan told "A1+", there have not been any buses coming to Yerevan since 8 a.m. this morning. He also mentioned that Shirak regional police officers held a consultation and gave a strict instruction to prohibit any buses from coming to Yerevan today.
"Despite all that, there cannot be any impediment," said Ashot Zakaryan, adding that that will lead to an opposite reaction and there will be higher turnout at the rally.
Why are the authorities allowing a rally at Freedom Square and closing roads? In response, Zakaryan said:
"They want to show the society and international organizations that they have come to terms with the opposition and are giving the police instructions to not let too many people come."
Let us remind that the Armenian National Congress will hold a rally at Freedom Square today at 18:00.
