The Sargsyan family from Etchmiadzin was at Serzh Sargsyan's residence today. The fate of most of Tsaghkunk village resident Andranik Sargsyan's harvest is undetermined. Sargsyan had signed an agreement with Etchmiadzin's "Concern" LTD to supply 150 tons of eggplants, but the company refused to accept the eggplants during the sale.

"There were 148 tons of eggplants after the company finally agreed to purchase two tons. The villager managed to sell some eggplants for 20 drams each, while some were ruined on the field," President of the International Association for Lawyers and Psychologists Khachatur Marozyan told "A1+". Marozyan is also the Sargsyans' lawyer.

The company told the villager that it doesn't have the adequate equipment for storing so many crops. The court has denied the Sargsyans' claim and, according to the lawyer, it has adhered to the technical errors in the agreement stating cucumbers instead of eggplants.

Gayane Poghsyan, the mother of the injured, says the company took advantage of the family's simplicity and assured them that that error would not cause any problems.

"All those eggplants were ruined on the field and we don't even know how we're going to pay off our debts. We keep paying our credit by taking loans," says the mother of the injured.

The family has appealed to the president with the hope for a fair trial and compensation for the damage caused.

If Serzh Sargsyan doesn't intervene and the issue remains unsolved, the decision of the first instance court will be appealed in the Court of Appeals.
