Azerbaijani delegates failed to arrive in Yerevan

The 36th meeting of the cultural, educational and social affairs committee of the Parliamentary Assembly of the Black Sea Economic Cooperation (PABSEC) kicked off in the Armenian National Assembly on March 30.

The sitting will focus on healthcare problems in WHO and BSEC member countries.

Head of the Armenian delegation to the PABSEC Gagik Minasyan said that the issue is highly important as maintenance of sanitary norms is kept in the limelight of each society.

"Armenia is committed to WHO recommendations," said Minasyan adding that representatives from eight BSEC countries are expected to attend the sitting in Yerevan.
At present, delegates from seven countries are taking part in the meeting. The Serbian representatives have not yet arrived. The meeting is attended by delegates from Turkey who rejected journalists' requests to talk to them.

Azerbaijani representatives did not arrive in Yerevan. Armenian side doesn't know the reasons of absence.
At the beginning of the sitting, Gagik Minasyan read out National Assembly Speaker's address to the sitting participants whereby Hovik ABrahamyan wished the delegates fruitful work.

The Armenian side is concerned about the avian flue which will be in the focus of the meeting.
