All opposition forces are already united, said the Chairman of Democratic Motherland Party, Petros Makeyan.

He says the party has sided with the opposition since its formation in 1998 and he is well aware of the opposition camp.

"True oppositionists have already united. All other forces are "a slag in the crucible," said Makeyan.

Armenia is witnessing escalated tension and social unrest, but the Armenian National Congress (HAK) has been able to restrain people.

However, Makeyan did not exclude that radical masses can get out of control, even if the "HAK attempts to be more Catholic than the Pope."

"People are already fed up with the authorities and will sooner or later topple them down. Instead of addressing the political problems, the authorities are trying to create an illusion that they started a dialogue with the opposition and are preparing for the next elections" said Makeyan.

"The authorities realize that they will have to step down one day under the pressure of masses," Makeyan concluded.
