Heritage addresses letter to EU
The Heritage Party has addressed a letter to PACE delegates, EU members and human rights organizations calling their attention to the restrictions imposed on the party by the Armenian authorities.
"Due to the tense political situation discussions and debates are held in Armenia in the atmosphere of fear," reads the letter enumerating the illegal steps against the party members.
"It is imperative to put an end to the ongoing repression against genuine democratic forces. The violence against opposition activists and independent journalists and the disclosure of March 1 tragic events still need to be addressed by the Armenian leadership," said the party.
Heritage calls on the international structures to give an appropriate assessment to the illegal actions of Armenian authorities.
