“We will rebuild through peace”
Chairman of the Board of the HHSh (Armenian Pan-National Movement) Aram Manukyan was the first to speak at Freedom Square. Manukyan began his speech with the following lines: "Congratulations, people. Freedom Square has been liberated. This is not the end of our victory, but the first enduring, dignified victory that was achieved with honor. The past three years ended with a logical victory and we deserve it. Don't think this is a done deal. Our only wish is for you to believe in Levon Ter-Petrosyan."
Aram Manukyan called on everyone to believe in the ANC and follow the ANC's instructions. "Believe us, we are calculating everything and it is agreed with inside and outside forces. Believe us, victory will soon be ours," said Manukyan.
Music and people's dancing interrupt the ANC members' speeches and somebody didn't feel too well.
ANC coordinator Levon Zurabyan also gave a speech. "When the people want to win, they always do. The ruling criminal oligarchic regime is the reason for the growing emigration. Our movement is not aimed at bloody clashes and we will achieve victory in a civilized manner. The only solution is a revolution that began today. We haven't come to preach, but rebuild through peace."
