Armenian National Congress (HAK) activist Artashes Sardaryan, summoned to the Police Department of Arabkir District today morning, has been released.

Sardaryan was picked up from his florist's shop at the intersection of Papazyan and Kochar Streets and taken to the Arabkir police department in a white Niva.

"Two police officers looked in the shop and invited me to the police station without a summons. They ordered me to follow them without resistance if I did not want to appear in a more complicated situation," Artashes Sardaryan told A1+.

Sardaryan stayed at the police station for an hour. The police enquired about the opposition's next rally to be held on March 17.

As reported earlier, another HAK activist, Samson Khachatryan, was caught by masked police officers near Dinamo Sport Complex Sunday and taken to the Police Department of Kentron District. Khachatryan is charged with using violence against a representative of authorities (Article 316 of the Penal Code).
