No agreement reached between Ter-Petrosyan and foreign filmmakers
Coordinator of the Armenian National Congress (HAK) Levon Zurabyan was unaware of any agreement reached between Armenia's First President Levon Ter-Petrosyan and foreign filmmakers.
"I did not know that filmmakers from Lithuania and Estonia wanted to shoot a documentary featuring the first president," said Zurabyan.
Spokesman for Armenia's First President, Arman Musinyan says he received a telephone call informing that a group of filmmakers from Lithuania and Estonia wanted to interview Levon Ter-Petrosyan for a documentary film on Karabakh.
"The person who telephoned me did not identify himself; he only said he would accompany the guests in Yerevan. I said I would inform Levon Ter-Petrosyan when the group arrived in Yerevan. We did not reach any agreement," said Musinyan.
A group of filmmakers and journalists, who arrived in Yerevan from Lithuania and Estonia, were denied entry to Armenia on March 11. The group was detained at Yerevan's Zvartnots International Airport by representatives of the National Security Service without any explanation.
According to some sources, the journalists are known for their pro-Azeri stance.
