Social revolt is already perceived in Armenia
Armenian Prime Minister will leave for Brussels on March 15 to raise one billion dollars, Armenian National Congress representative Vahagn Khachatryan told journalists on Friday.
"If our authorities receive the money, they will squander it without doing any good to the economy. Hence, the earlier the government resigns, the better for our people," said the economist.
"No one has been made accountable for the high inflation in the country though the Constitution imputes the fault upon the Central Bank. If the economy encounters similar failures, the head of the Central Bank usually resigns," he said adding that the inflation might lead to a social revolt.
"We are already witnessing a revolt which can grow into anti-government protests. Inflation has affected the economy so much that even the authorities began to speak about it," said the economist.
