Friday protests continue
Relatives and friends of the nine political prisoners remaining in Armenian prisons after the tragic events of March 1, 2008, continue their Friday protests outside the Prosecutor General's Office.
As usual, the protesters call for the release of the political prisoners and punishment of perpetrators of the March 1 tragedy.
"Police are executing the order of the authorities," member of the political-public initiative "People's Power" initiative member Movses Aristakesyan told A1+ commenting on the recent clashes between the Armenian police and peaceful protesters.
"The violence against the people speaks of the authorities' weakness," he added.
"If the authorities fail to meet the opposition's demands before the March 17 rally, the Armenian National Congress will voice new demands," said Gevorg Grigoryan.
The protest was shot by the police.
