Three years after the tragedy of March 1, the relatives of the victims still don't have much hope that the tragedy will be revealed during the current government's tenure.

"Our only hope is change of power," Sargis Kloyan, father of victim of "March 1" Gor Kloyan, told "A1+". According to him, throughout the past three years, he has appealed to different courts and has no more expectations. "We are surprised when they tell us that our appeals are groundless. But we are the victims' successors," said Kloyan.

Head of the HAK legal support center, former military prosecutor Gagik Jahangiryan is certain that the most significant revelations have already taken place.

"First, "March 1" was a military revolt. The armed forces were illegally applied and even the former human rights defender rejected most of our petitions and didn't appeal to the Constitutional Court," said Jahangiryan, adding that all murders were committed by state officials, armed bandits or police officers.

"It was corroborated that the authorities used arms on March 1 and 2 and the events were concealed. There were nearly 300 such people, military police and nobody has viewed as the injured," said Jahangiryan, adding that nearly 150 people were sentenced to prison as political prisoners.

According to Gagik Jahangiryan, they will reach social justice not through a state revolt, but only through change of power.

"Two hundred thousand citizens of Armenia must gather and impose on the government to resign, after which they must hold free, fair and legitimate presidential and parliamentary elections."

Gagik Jahangiryan noted that they will not allow the repetition of "March 1".

"There can never be a "March 1" in Armenia again. You see, whoever fires at the people goes straight to the Court of Haaga," said Jahangiryan.
