Is it dangerous to visit Azerbaijan?
Azerbaijan Ministry of National Security says they are taking all measures to ensure security in Azerbaijan and to remove threats endangering the country's interests.
"The process is continuing. Relevant bodies are taking measures to control the situation," reads a Ministry statement.
The statement came after the U.S. State Department warned their citizens against visiting Azerbaijan, saying a terrorist threat in Azerbaijan is being plotted. A similar warning has been issued by the UK Embassy.
The structure stresses that Azerbaijan ranks among the countries that coordinate international terrorism.
In a security alert, the U.S. Embassy in Baku said there was a "potential for attacks in Azerbaijan, including against American interests." It said the warning was "based on terrorist threat information." It added that that U.S. citizens in Azerbaijan "should remain vigilant, particularly in public places associated with the Western community."
Washington reports that the order to explode U.S. Embassy in the Republic of Kenya was also given from Baku.
