Liturgy
On January 27, on the occasion of Army Day and according to tradition, a Divine Liturgy was served under leadership of His Holiness Karekin II, Supreme Patriarch and Catholicos of All Armenians. The one serving the Divine Liturgy was spiritual leader of the Army, Bishop Vrtanes Abrahamyan.
Attending the ceremony were leaders of the diocese of the Armenian Church, congregates of the Mother See, RA Minister of Defense Seyran Ohanyan and high-ranking officials of the Armenian Army.
The Divine Liturgy was followed by an official reception during which the Catholicos of All Armenians conveyed his patriarchal blessing and good wishes to the attendees.
His Holiness awarded the "St. Nerses Shnorhali" Medal of Honor of the Armenian Church to RA First Deputy Minister of Defense, Colonel D. Tonoyan and First Deputy Head of the Main Headquarters of the Armenian Armed Forces, General-Lieutenant E. Apriamov.
