Will they let the political prisoner?
It is still not clear as to whether or not political prisoner Shmavon Galstyan will be present at his mother's funeral or not, as press speaker of the Penitentiary Department Arsen Babayan told "A1+". Shmavon Galstyan's mother died suddenly today and her relatives found out about her death from the "Nubarashen" penitentiary administration.
Shmavon Galstyan has been sentenced to 6 years in prison in relation to the 2008 presidential elections and the events of March 1. Galstyan was territorial director of one of Levon Ter-Petrosyan's pre-electoral headquarters in Malatia-Sebastia during the 2008 presidential elections.
Shmavon Galstyan was also director of the "Anush" knitted fabric factory which belonged to former MP and former political prisoner Hakob Hakobyan.
