"2010 was comparatively quieter"
"Compared with 2009, 2010 was quieter," says Khosrov Harutyunyan, Chairman of the Christian-Democratic Union of Armenia (CDUA).
Among the foreign policy achievements, Mr. Harutyunyan pointed out the clarification of relations in Armenian-Turkish peace process, extension of the term of Russian military base in Armenia, Armenia's answer to Azerbaijan's bellicose statements during the Astana summit.
Today, Armenia has a higher reputation in the international arena but the country still faces major challenges in the spheres of human rights and economic freedoms.
With regard to the country's economic policy, Mr. Harutyunyan noted that for the first time export exceeded import which is very important.
He says that small and medium-sized businesses are not given equal footing in the country and advises creating favourable conditions for them.
The former prime minister sounded pleased with the work of the acting premier though advised him to demonstrate a little sharpness.
