Will Ashotyan do the same?
Armenian Minister of Culture and Education Armen Ashotyan today gave a press conference to sum up the results of the passing year. During the news conference, he also commented on rumors about his resignation.
"At the solemn session dedicated to the 20th anniversary of the Republican Party of Armenia, President Serzh Sargsyan pointed out the qualities that a state official should possess. I am confident that all officials who do not meet the requirements mentioned by the President should leave their posts. If the country's leadership considers that I do not meet these criteria, I am ready to resign," Ashotyan said adding that during his tenure of office he had gained many opponents and could not say whether he met the requirements or not.
