No discussions held on “Pzo” case
From December 6-8, the delegation headed by RA Prosecutor General Aghvan Hovsepyan participated in the meeting on "Joining Forces towards Development Effectiveness through a Global Alliance to Combat Corruption" organized by the World Bank.
During the visit to Washington, the Armenian Prosecutor General held meetings with high-ranking officials of the U.S. Department of Justice to discuss issues of cooperation. The positive experience of cooperation was highly evaluated. The parties agreed to develop the cooperation by discussing its legal mechanism, in particular the issues concerning the possibility of signing bilateral memorandum.
During the visit the Prosecutor General also had a meeting with the World Bank's Vice President Leonard McCarthy outlining the ways of cooperation development which should be discussed during Leonard McCarthy's visit to Yerevan in the spring of 2011.
According to a release of the RA Prosecutor General's office, Aghvan Hovsepyan and U.S. diplomats mainly discussed issues related to cooperation between the law-enforcement agencies of the countries.
