Armenian National Congress (HAK) member Vahagn Khachatryan and Republican MP Rafik Petrosyan today debated over home political issues, 2011 state budget and resignation of Yerevan Mayor Gagik Beglaryan.

"The President is resolute and will continue punishing officials who demonstrate ruthless behaviour," said Rafik Petrosyan.

"Kandayan simply performed his duties and asked Beglaryan's spouse to change seats at the concert of Placido Domingo," Petrosyan said speaking about the incident between ex Mayor Gagik Beglaryan and employee of the presidential staff's protocol department Aram Kandayan

"Where should you know the details if you were not present in the incident?" said Vahagn Khachatryan advising Petrosyan to give a political assessment.

"Presently, you are taking the same measures that you did on March 1, 2008," said Khachatryan and reminded that the National Assembly removed the mandates of four deputies without getting familiarized with the case.

"Beglaryan's resignation was the start, it was the first fruit'. We shall hear similar things every day and every moment. The handwriting is typical of the bandit regime. Gagik Beglaryan was one of the pillars of the bandit regime. His resignation did not surprise or delight me. I wish the authorities resigned," said Khachatryan.
