Will the U.S. resist this trial?
"The U.S. Government condemns the illegal and prohibited release of any type of information," U.S. Ambassador to Armenia Marie Yovanovich told journalists today as she touched upon the documents released on the Wikileaks website.
Marie Yovanovich assures that the releases are putting the interests of U.S. national security at risk and are creating problems and obstacles for working with allies, partners and friends.
"The U.S. has a full political agenda. We are working with our partners and countries in the spheres of economy, politics and security. When the interests of our national security are in danger, it means that the interests of national security of our partners are also in danger," underlined the Ambassador.
Wikileaks has nearly 1 million documents, but has only released the first part (250,000) and out of those 250,000, 17,509 documents are related to Armenia. The U.S. Ambassador to Armenia assured that the U.S. has strong ties with partner countries and those relations can resist this. "The relations can continue and grow stronger. I think this is true for Armenia as well. The U.S continues its relations and partnership with Armenia."
